Friends of Patron in Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka

Good afternoon, these are Friends of Patron!

Another event happened to us in 2022, but we did not have time to cover it in time. We held a series of classes at Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka Lyceum.

This village is located in the Bucha district and belongs to the Irpin territorial community.

It is not very big, but very picturesque and ancient - it is more than 400 years old. We are already used to cities, so we came to such a place with enthusiasm.

One of the most famous architectural monuments here is the old wooden church, which stands right in front of the lyceum, as if protecting it from the street.

It was built back in 1905 - and it is already the third at this place - the first one burned down in 1835 after a lightning strike, and another temple was built there in 1855.

The lyceum building can also be classified as an architectural monument - with large classrooms and spacious corridors. It also survived the russian occupation in March 2022.

Now there are 426 children registered there, which is much less than in our hero cities, so everything here is very calm and feels almost like home!

For lessons they gave us a large assembly hall with a stage and a huge screen. All classes came to our lessons in turn.

Thus, in three working days, we taught more than 350 children.

All the young Patron`s Friends were very active and we heard many real life stories from them. All of them were about mines, explosions and war...

That is why we conduct our training - so that children know how to behave if they suddenly encounter danger.

And I will remind you the "Golden safety rules":

  • Do not touch
  • Do not approach
  • Call 101

We hope that the children learned them well.

In the hall they also had a cool old piano, which is still working!

And while the students of the Bucha district are resting on vacation - we are already preparing for the new academic semester!

See you soon, future friends of Patron, we will shortly come to you!

Have a safe and explosion-free life!
